#1: You feel separate from your body
Have you ever felt like your body seems to be a stranger to you? You might feel that your head is wrapped and your body feels lifeless and hollow. There are even some who tend to lose their sense of taste, touch and smell and can sometimes need a pinch or poke themselves to get back to normalcy.
#2: You feel detached from the environment
Depersonalization is also associated with derealisation and this may not just make you feel disconnected from the world but you can also feel as if you’re not familiar with this world. You might experience subjective visual distortions like extreme sensitivity, fuzziness and a bigger visual field or a two-dimensional flatness or other 3D visions.
#3: No connection with the person you meet in the mirror
You will experience a sense of detachment when you find your reflection in the mirror and hence you feel best when you avoid seeing it. You also tend to detach from other things like leaving the house for being with people.
#4: You can feel similar to robot
When you experience depersonalization, people usually feel that they’re observing the body from outside. The voice can sound unfamiliar, the way in which you speak and the things that they engage in will no more feel spontaneous activities. They’ll feel that something is forcing them to do things. They have a strong inability to feel any kind of emotion even for people who are close to them.
